“Canela de Velho, a small, shrubby tree known for its incredibly hard wood, is traditionally used in the treatment of rheumatic pains and related discomforts. When incinerated, this tree produces a unique ash. Although it shares some characteristics with the larger Caneleiro tree, the Canela de Velho is distinctly different. The rapé, a product derived from this tree, is crafted by the Huni Kuin community, who reside in the Caucho community within the Tarauaca region.”
